Day 2 Report
Wednesday 14th June Glasgow to Newcastle |
|
|
Set off from Glasgow and head for Newcastle in brilliant sunshine. Meet up with Kenneth MacPherson from Mallaig - and his family - who is now a Police Officer down here and luckily only lives 2 miles from the ferry. He very generously invited us to visit and he and his lovely wife made sure we were fed and watered before heading for the ferry. |

Thanks to Anthony Reay for the above pictures |

Get on the ferry about 5pm and after a bit of a struggle getting the bikes tied down securely go and find our cabins. 3 in one cabin and 4 in another. Great facilities on board, live band in the bar, cinema, restaurants etc. Lifeboat Coxswain (Bertie) is invited to the bridge by the captain to have a look and a blether. Early to bed since it's a long trek tomorrow. |

Not sure it's a good idea to leave these two in charge of the Ferry! |
