Stayed in Miskolc tonight - an adventure in itself. Arrived in what seemed to be a run down area, a bit apprehensively we went to a petrol station and spoke to the biggest scariest looking guy we've ever seen. Just goes to show appearances can be deceptive, he was really helpful and took us to a guest house where we were able to park the bikes securely. Unfortunately we arrived late but the landlady phoned a friend who owns a restaurant, piled us all into the back of a van/minibus and drove us to the restaurant (think she may have had a wee drink but it wasn't far and we got there and back in one piece) Had a great meal and met some fantastic people. They know how to entertain visitors and made us feel right at home. Even got the use of our landlady's laptop to email back some photos (as seen on previous pages).
